Brief History: Born around the time of Christ to a Roman Soldier. Trained to be a soldier he instead became an assassin to the local ruling family. Marcus first realized he was special when his employer literally backstabbed him. Marcus woke up buried alive; after digging himself out he killed his employer, his family and the guards. Marcus passed roughly 800 years as an assssain for hire and amassed a considerable amount of money. He managed though sheer luck to avoid other immortals during that time but then he did encounter one and the encounter scared him into hiding in Scotland, Ireland, Wales and Britain for the next 200 years. That ended when he met an ancient immortal who taught all about the immortals and how to take a head and what happens. Marcus spent time in the crusades within the various European armies. He then went with Marco Polo to the East. Curious about this new world he stayed until 1900 in the various nations. He spent time in a number of temples, as an aprentis to a weapon smith and just wandering around and learning about this culture. He also had a chance encounter with Jing Wong and that left him with a lot of respect for the man's fighting abilities. At around 1900, he moved to America and has been there for the last 100 years wandering around. He fought in WW2 but not WW1. He uses at least a dozen names his current name is Korthal. An easy and almost assuredly lethal way to get his attention is to call him Marcus.
Physical Description: 6'0" and 200lbs. most of it muscle. He has brown hair and brown-black eyes. He wears loose fitting clothing typically baggy jeans and a loose fitting long sleeved shirt and a dark trench coat and military style boots. He currently has no facial hair but occasionally grows a goatee or beard. Personality Slightly Paranoid, Marcus trusts none and has no true friends. When his patience runs out, he has an explosive temper. Always on the lookout for new styles of combat.

COREN ANDERS
Age: 82 years old (about 17 when first killed)

Brief History: Coren was born in Texas however shortly there after he moved to New York. Growing up when he did and in the rough areas of New York, he learned how to handle himself with a knife and was the leader of a gang for about 6 months. However, during a fight he killed only to wake up a few hours later in an alley perfectly healed. Realizing that he had a second chance he journeyed to Japan to learn the was of Budo and Bushido. After being accepted by a student by Master Ling, he found another immortal studying under Master Ling as well. This other immortal thought Coren the ways of their kind and in the end forced Coren to take his head to make he learns the point that immortal friendships though they have eternity always end in blood shed. After mourning, his friends loss (around 1995) he took up his prized nodachi and moved back to the states. There he jumped on board the computer trend and now is an expert hacker who was living in Houston. After hearing Syvela's call for help, he grabbed up his weapon once more to set off for adventure...

Brief History: Studied and mastered all forms of
fighting, studied ancient languages, currently a
weapons and martial arts trainer, and a collector of
antiques. Was an imperial guard for the Mingh Dynasty,
lived with cherokee indians for 20 years, fought in
the civil, world war 1&2, experienced the spanish
inquisition. Died in his mid twenties, in a fight.
Luke has a scar that makes a thin vertical line that
starts above the right eyebrow and and ends at the
right cheek bone.
